WHO?
- Tammie & Robert professionally train a dog that you provide
- They educate and coach you on becoming an excellent handler of your highly trained Service Dog
WHAT?
You will receive Professional Dog Training and Exceptional Handler Instruction.
Your Dog will:
- Reside in our home for ten weeks (minimum)
- Receive professional Service Dog training
- Learn high standard obedience for sound, reliable public access work
- Learn specific training for tasks to mitigate your disability
You will attend Handler Instruction & Receive:
- Three days (minimum) of Service Dog handler instruction
- Two days (minimum) of follow up one month later
- The Public Access test, to evidence your dog’s training and your handling skills
- 40+ hours of class room instruction & public outings
- A certificate providing evidence of your dog’s training and your handling
- A bound copy of the entire Instruction presentation
- Three published books on dog training
- Supplies like collar, leash and training aids
- A Service Dog vest
- A custom ID badge
- Continued support (email or telephone)
- Light snacks and beverages during the handler classes.
WHERE?
- Your dog will remain in our home during training.
- Handler Instruction is held at our facility in Brownstown, IL (see CONTACT)
HOW MUCH?
- The following costs apply to training year: 2025
- $14000 covers your dog’s training, your handler instruction, the course materials, training supplies, vest, ID, follow-up support
- Fee covers the standard ten weeks of on-site training based on a typical task list, plus 40+ hours of handler instruction
- Additional weeks of training to support a more strenuous / complicated task list requires an additional fee of $1000/week of training
- $2800 (20%) deposit is required to hold a training spot.
- Deposit is non-refundable
- Deposit is transferable to a future training if:
- We are contacted at least 30 days before the training start date
- There is an opening in the future date
- $5600 (40%) is due at drop off & $5600 (40%) is due on the first day of your Handler Instruction
- The final payment is required before the dog leaves our facility
- We offer a DISCOUNT TO DISABLED VETERANS and FIRST RESPONDERS
- For a standard, 10 Week session Veterans receive a $3000 discount. Total cost = $11000
- We regret that we are not able to offer financial assistance to other individuals, other than veterans and first responders.
OTHER DETAILS?
- You must be able to travel to our facility on the specified dates to participate in Handler Instruction (3 days) and Follow-up (2 days, one month after Handler Instruction.)
- You must source your own dog for training. We are happy to guide you in the process.
- Occasionally, we have home-raised, Service Dog candidate puppies or dogs. See AVAILABLE

- Requirements for the dog and advice regarding sourcing a suitable dog are listed on the IMPORTANT INFORMATION section.
- We recommend students bring a support individual to the Handler Instruction
- We appreciate if children under 8 years old are not in attendance, except a disabled child that is being partnered with the dog
- Transportation to or from the training facility for the dog or the student is not included
- Student meals and housing during the Handler Instruction are not included

WHEN?
We receive two dogs for training per training session (Spring, Summer, Fall.) To hold a space, please submit an application.
